We broke free from the traditional salon experience to create a space where we could blend our passion for beautiful hair and cool relics from back in the day. Our original location had a main stage for hairdos and a green room full of vintage collectibles.
We’ve since moved to our current location, focusing on our core passion… Great hair, created in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We know hair colour and technique inside out. Our cutting stations are crafted from recycled Singer sewing machine stands, vintage rifle boxes, and old timber workbenches, surrounded by quirky quotes and nostalgic decor.

Lead Vocals & Guitar
Meet the queen of our venue's main stage! Katie's virtuoso skills with scissors and colour will leave you mesmerised. With years of experience under her belt, she delivers precision cuts, bold all-over colours, and a signature style that's pure rock 'n' roll Her on-stage presence is electric, and her fans can't get enough. One show-stopping performance, and after 1 show you'll learn why our fans look to Katie to see the truth. When asked to sum up their lead singer, the band agreed on the ultimate tribute to their leading lady! ``Ain't no Rock Retro Scissors without KT``
MATT
Drummer & On-Again, Off-Again Band Manager
The backbone of Rock Retro Scissors, our multi-talented mono-syllabically named hero Matt calls on his 5B heavy's and mad management skills to form the glue that holds the band together; keeping them rocking for the entire show! When he's not pounding away on his drums, he's the mastermind booking gigs, managing riders, and keeping the band members in check (whether they like it or not). Need something extra? Matt's your guy! He'll hook you up with media passes, VIP treatment, and backstage access. And, he'll point you in the right direction for all your merch needs. Like a leaf is to a tree, so fine, Matt's a no fuss type of operator. He'll rock up to the show, look good, get the job done, and drink all our booze!
EBONY
Keyboard Wizard & Hair Cutting Maestro
The quiet storm behind Rock Retro Scissors' keys, Ebony is a force to be reckoned with. Her precision cutting skills translate perfectly to her synth work, crafting sounds that are as sleek as her hairstyles. Don't let her reserved nature fool you - Ebony's talent speaks volumes. By day, she's a master of the scissors, taming manes with ease. By night, she weaves sonic magic on the keys, elevating the band's sound to new heights. A true legend in her own right, Ebony's skills are the perfect harmony of art and music.
RILEY
The Low-End Legend
The might n’ muscle of Rock Retro Scissors' rhythm section, It’s tiiiiime, for us to finally introduce to you… the buena buena buena buena good good girl! Riley brings the thunder with her bass lines! Joining the band as a gaffa girl in 2018, Riley was caught tinkering with bass in the greenroom one afternoon, and has been laying down the groove for RRS ever since! This wicked bass witch can spin that instrument like a pro, and at her height, she's the only one who can pull it off without scratching the stage! From baby-faced beginner to full-fledged rockstar, Riley's grown up with the band and keeps the low end rocking!
GEORGIA
The Triangle Tease
The mystery member of Rock Retro Scissors, Georgia's triangle playing is a thing of wonder... or is it? She's the one who's gonna make you laugh, and make you cry; always tapping away, but never quite hard enough to convince the rest of the band she's actually playing. But don't worry, she's always on beat when it comes to keeping the drinks flowing! Georgia's the band's resident party starter and hydration officer, and she takes her job very seriously. When she's not ``playing`` the triangle, she's probably belting out Shock! Denial! Anger! Acceptance! ``You're perfect (Georgia), yes, you're perfect``
MACKENZIE
Roadie Extraordinaire & Glassee Guru
The unsung hero of Rock Retro Scissors, Mackenzie's the mastermind behind the scenes. This wannabe rockstar-turned-roadie extraordinaire ensures the band's gear is always on point, and the show goes off without a hitch. But don't be fooled; Mackenzie's got a mischievous streak, and loves to shake things up by ``accidentally`` swapping the dressing room labels. Chaos usually ensues, but the show must go on! With Mackenzie on the team, RRS is guaranteed to put on a wild and unpredictable show every time.
TAYLOR
Rhythm Guitarist & Colourful Vocalist
Meet Taylor, the newest addition to the Rock Retro Scissors crew! Taylor brings a fresh vibe to our show, and when not styling up your locks, Taylor will be strumming up a storm and sound-checking microphones/brushes to keep you entertained and energised throughout your visit. Get ready to experience the ultimate fusion of magical music and hair raising highlights with Taylor Live on the Main Stage at RRS!
JACOB
Guitar Guru & Secret Heir
The behind-the-scenes maestro, Jacob keeps the guitars humming and the riffs tight. As the band's trusted guitar tech, he's the unsung hero of Rock Retro Scissors' sound, and also the mastermind behind the wheel of the band's beloved tour bus, ``Unlicensed`` (don't ask about the name...). And, despite offers flooding in from other bands, Rock Retro wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.
POLLY
The Ultimate FanGirl
Polly's the band's biggest fan and most loyal companion. She's always hanging with the band and the fans, spreading the love and the energy. Her infectious enthusiasm is the spark that sets the crowd ablaze!
WHELAN
The Eternal Romeo
Whelan's love for Katie knows no bounds. He's always by her side, following her to every tour stop, soaking up every moment like a lovestruck groupie. His dedication is admirable, and his passion is contagious.
